This policy explains what personal information In-box collects through in-box.com, why we collect it, who we share it with and what you can do about it. We keep it short and only describe what the site actually does.
In-box is an email and SMS marketing agency based in New Zealand. When this policy says "we", "us" or "In-box", that's who we mean. If you have any questions about your information, email gavin@in-box.co.nz.
We only collect information you give us, plus basic usage data from analytics and advertising tools.
The site uses Google Tag Manager, Google Ads conversion tracking and the Meta (Facebook) Pixel. These set cookies or similar identifiers so we can see which pages and ads are working. The site also remembers in your browser whether you have already seen or closed the newsletter pop-up, so it doesn't keep showing it.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and manage ad personalisation in your Google and Meta account settings. The site still works without them.
Videos on Insights articles are embedded using YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), which doesn't set YouTube cookies until you play a video.
We don't sell your information. We use these services to run the site:
Each provider handles your information under its own privacy policy.
We keep enquiry and audit emails for as long as we need them to work with you, and then delete them when they are no longer needed. Newsletter subscribers stay on our list until they unsubscribe. Analytics data is kept according to the settings of the tools above.
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email gavin@in-box.co.nz and we'll respond within 20 working days.
Every newsletter email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can use it at any time.
Several of the services we use store data outside New Zealand, mainly in the United States. When we use them, we choose providers we believe protect personal information in a way comparable to New Zealand law.
We handle personal information in line with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020. If you're not happy with how we've handled your information, tell us first at gavin@in-box.co.nz. You can also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
We may update this policy when the site changes, and the date at the top shows the latest version. Questions? Email gavin@in-box.co.nz or use our contact page. See also our Terms of Use.
